Can FDI Promote China Export Products' Quality Upgrading?:An Study based on Dynamic Panel System GMM Method

This paper discusses the microscopic theory of FDI promoting the upgrading of export products quality,the paper conducts an empirical research by using the products trade data from1999 to 2007,the result discoveries that FDI improves the quality of export products smoothly,and foreign investment's effect on the upgrading of export products quality is stronger than that of Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan investment.Further,it finds that the existence of FDI in capital-intensive industry and high foreign capital industry are beneficial to the upgrading of export products quality,but the existence of FDI in labor-intensive industry and low foreign capital industry are against the upgrading of export products quality.In addition,the RD density,per capita wage also play a positive role,and the influence of capital-labor ratio is just opposite.
