序：最近在Linux下浏览网页时，发现常常提示Flashplayer需要更新，但是跳转到Adobe的官网之后发现，已经停止了新版本的支持，对现有版本只有安全补丁更新。而且，使用官网上下载的安装包之后，总是有附加数据无法下载。无奈，我只好尝试手动更新。其实更新步骤也不复杂。
1）下载压缩包
压缩包名称是：install_flash_player_11_linux.x86_64.tar.gz，官网的下载页面在此，详细地址如下。
http://fpdownload.macromedia/pub/flashplayer/updaters/11/flashplayer_11_plugin_debug.i386.tar.gz
同时，在下载页面中还可以看到Linux下Flash的最后版本是11.2.202.442。
在另一个面向普通用户的页面中也可以下载本文所用的安装包，地址如下。
http://get.adobe/cn/flashplayer/
请注意在左下角选择类型的时候一定要选tar.gz类型（参考下图），否则如果选择APT类型，在安装的时候会要求下载数据，而这些数据常常是几乎下不来啊！
2）解压并安装
缺省情况下，压缩包都会下载到登陆用户的主目录下的“下载”文件夹中。建议单独新建一个临时目录进行操作直接使用如下命令。
$ mkdir flash
$ mv install_flash_player_11_linux.x86_64.tar.gz flash
$ cd flash/
$ tar -zxvf install_flash_player_11_linux.x86_64.tar.gz
解压后的文件中包括：名为usr的文件夹，readme.txt以及libflashplayer.so文件。其实，在readme中就有安装方式的详细操作步骤。摘要如下。
Installation instructions
-------------------------
Installing using the plugin tar.gz:
o Unpack the plugin tar.gz and copy the files to the appropriate location.
o Save the plugin tar.gz locally and note the location the file was saved to.
o Launch terminal and change directories to the location the file was saved to.
o Unpack the tar.gz file. Once unpacked you will see the following:
+ libflashplayer.so
+ /usr
o Identify the location of the browser plugins directory, based on your Linux distribution and Firefox version
o Copy libflashplayer.so to the appropriate browser plugins directory. At the prompt type:
+ cp libflashlayer.so <BrowserPluginsLocation>
o Copy the Flash Player Local Settings configurations files to the /usr directory. At the prompt type:
+ sudo cp -r usr/* /usr
好吧，我承认有些童鞋的E文不自信。那么就按照如下步骤操作即可。
$ sudo cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
$ sudo cp -r usr/* /usr
