特殊的比较级最高级

1 the +比较级 + of the two/twins. 这时比较级前要加the.(两个之中比较…的那一个，~包含在两个之中)

Tom is the taller of the two. .

2"the+比较级..., the+形容词比较级...", 表示 " 越... 越..."。

The more you study, the more you know. 你学的越多, 就知道的越多。

3 比较级 + and + 形容词比较级 ", 表示 " 越来越... "。

4 one of the +最高级 +复数名词, 表示"最……的……之一"。

5"+the + 序数词 +最高级 +单数名词 , 表示"第几……"。

She is the second tallest student in our class. 她是我们班第二高的学生。

6 比较级前还可加其他表示数量的词，量放在比较级前：

My sister is ten years younger than me. 我妹妹比我小十岁。

7 最高级的意义有时可以用比较级表示出来。

比较级+than +the other +名词复数

或比较级+than +any other +名词单数

例如：

Mike is the tallest in his class. 或者：

=Mike is taller than any other student in his class

= Mike is taller than the other students in his class

8 most前面没有the，不表示最高级的含义，只表示"非常"。

例如：

It is a most important problem. =It is a very important problem. 这是个很重要的问题。

9形容词最高级前可以由物主代词，指示代词，名词所有格等修饰，此时不加the

Yesterday is her happiest day in her life.

10比较级必须是同类事物作比较

His hair is longer than mine .

11 less +原级表示“较不….” least +原级表示“最不….”

less expensive 较不贵 least expensive 最不贵

12同一范围内比较要排除自己，不是同一范围内比较就不用排除自己

China is bigger than any other country in Asia .

China is bigger than any country in Africa .

用比较级表示最高级：约翰是班里最高的男生。 John is taller than any other boy in the class.

John is the tallest boy in the class. John is taller than :any other boy. any of the other boy.

all the other boy. any of the others. any one else.
