2、哈佛大学，洛桑联邦理工学院以及科羅拉多大學波德分校联合在国际机器人通讯期刊《IEEE机器人与自动化通讯》（IEEE Robotics and Automation Letter）发表了一篇文章中提出了一种“压电材料驱动的微型夹爪”，这款夹爪本身张开的尺寸大约为0.2mm，自身重量0.1g, 但确可以抓取重达3g（30倍）的物体。该“微型夹爪”被安装到了一款4.5cm见方的微型四足机器人上，并且展示了一些移动机器人的“微操作”，例如搬运一些微小的芯片等，展示了颇佳的实用效果。
