摘要：

Summer bird community of Shahu Wetland Nature Reserve in Hubei was investigated in June of 2006.The survey had recorded 56 species belonging to 28 families and 10 orders,in which there were 3 species listing in Category II National Protection,21 species under Hubei provincial protection.Among them,1 species of rare bird and 1 species of endangered bird were listed in Red Book of Endangered Animals in China.The birds of this reserve were mainly oriental ones,and their density was 6.85 ind / hm2.The diversity index(H) of the species in four different habitats was as followed: woods(2.6570)reed's(2.4095)water's(2.2713)farmland's(1.8697).The evenness index(E) in turn was woods'(0.8569)water's(2.2713)reed's(0.7582)farmland's(0.7524).Among these four habitats,the diversity index(H) and evenness index(E) of woods' were the highest.
