Keep in mind that (once the mark-up and css validates) it is needs not to be you who makes the mistakes. Any recent graphical browser will render good code in an acceptable way. However, there are older browsers about that cannot handle CSS very well. You can decide to ignore them (if you can affort that) or you can try to hack your way around their faulty rendering.
