I''m trying to configure my wcf service to use ssl with a self signed certificate. The problem is that when my client application tries to connect to the service i get the following exception: "The client certificate is not provided. Specify a client certificate in ClientCredentials". I can connect to the service with the WCF test client. I read a few tutorials on WCF and SSL and from what i understood the client needs a certficate as well. Could someone please explane what this means? I mean since when does a client need a certificate in ssl. And if a client needs a certificate why does the WCF test client work? I would really appreciate any advice this?
