Dear all,

We need to re-submit some drivers which where certified in the past using WLK 1.6. We already found that for this, we need to use the HCK 2.0 to create a submission package which has the WLK 1.6 log files attached from the supplemental folder.

We follow the procedure as mentioned on the microsoft website (submititng a WLK 1.6 tested device using HCK 2.0) buthave some questions about this:

The initial WLK 1.6 log files include log files for 2003 Server, 2008 Server, 2008R2, Windows Vista and Windows 7, all 32bit and 64bit, so totally 9 sets of WLK 1.6 log files.

If we don't include any clients having the driver installed to the Server pool, we will get a warning, saying " Cannot create package because ...... has no platform mappings"

Is it than enough to add only one 32bit client and one 64bit client to the HCK Studio, both clients having the driver installed for which we need to make the updated submission?

Or do we need to setup 9 different Clients (for the HCK Studio) for each OS for which we have the WLK 1.6 log files?

The WLK 1.6 kit is officially retired so we prefer that partners use HCK 2.0 or HCK for Windows 8.1. In this situation you would need to set up nine separate clients if using the HCK to upload the WLK results. Please feel free to contact SysDev@Microsoft if you have any further questions. Thanks.
