解决方案Intersting, there's no technical reason I can think of why it wouldn't work.
Requirements are that the IP you hit must be able to both forward and route the traffic, hence the need for a VM with IP forwarding enabled and a virtual router. An LB can do both of those internally.
Would be interested to see if your option works or if there is any internal flag blocking it.
I'd recommend using Azure Network Watcher to track/troubleshoot the traffic also.
